Campus Safety

Campus Safety provides a safe, secure and distraction free environment for those who walk through the doors of NewSpring Church. We accomplish this by focusing on safety, security, support and ministering to people.

What We've Learned

Sometimes they are staff members and sometimes they are Owners at the church who are certified to respond to medical emergencies or are adequate law enforcement that we contract out. We have uniformed police officers who will assist with the flow of traffic as well as deter any potential disruptions on each campus.

Campus Safety’s objective is to serve as a support element to assist other NewSpring ministries to achieve their goals, and also to be available to sit in on care conversations and meeting as other ministry areas need. For those unpaid positions, the number of gatherings they serve will depend on their availability but are encouraged to keep as much of a consistent schedule as possible.

We have a team of certified medical responders at each one of our gatherings across the state. These medical responders range from first responders to doctors who are available if a medical issue was to arise. These responders are trained to assess the situation and provide temporary care until the Emergency Medical Team arrives on the scene.

Yes. Those who will be serving in the following areas of ministry must have approved background checks: Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Offering Team, Care Team, and Campus Safety.

We see this is an opportunity for the campus safety to cast some vision on other serving opportunities at the church. Since there are several areas of ministry that don’t require a background check, casting vision is a great way for someone to still take their next step but will not compromise the safety of the church or church Owners.
